Q: How can we maintain possession against an opponent?
A: - Pass/kick the ball to teammates
- Use dummies and feints to deceive the opponent and throw him off
- Draw opponents away from players with the ball, by pretending to be the next person who will receive the ball
- Create space off the ball, so that when you receive the ball, you have time to decide what to do next.

Q: What tactics could we use if we needed to play more defensively?
A: - Bring attacking players back to help
- Create 2-on-1 situations to try and shut down the opponent
- Play man-to-man coverage, to limit the amount of attacking options the opponent has
- Use all the time that you can to give your team chances to make a move (assuming you are in possession, and want to play defensively)
- Use our body's positioning as a barrier between the opponent and the goal
