The aim of a target game is to place a projectile near or in a target to achieve the best possible score. Games like these can be played as a team of up to four players. Target games do not involve quick decision making and the associated pressure, without the external tactical options a player is not going to become mentally overloaded. Games are usually played at a slower pace allowing for focus on technique and enjoyment. Target games can be either opposed; where play directly affects other players or unopposed; where the play is restricted to the individual.
