Tactical Games
Tactical games put simply; are games which focus on the skills and tactics involved in a sport (without playing the sport itself). This idea is aimed to promote an interest in learning games, develop an understanding of game play and the ability to play games. These games are often sequential in nature, i.e. they isolate certain skills and develop them one after the other, so that students continue to progress by adding new skills that 'flow-on' from one another. Research has shown that this 'sequential development' reduces redundancy in teaching games for both teachers and students. [1]
